Google Wins Fight Over €1.5 Billion EU Antitrust Fine Over Ads

Google won a legal battle against the European Union over a €1.5 billion ($1.7 billion) fine for hindering competition in online advertising, offering some relief after last week’s significant defeat in a separate case regarding the abuse of monopoly power.

On Wednesday, the EU’s General Court in Luxembourg sided with Alphabet Inc.’s challenge to the 2019 fine, stating that regulators had made errors during their investigation.
